Available capacity across the operating life of a BESS is one of the most important assumptions in any project financial model, and one that centralised architectures often quietly erode. The Blue Sphere platform is engineered around that assumption from first principles.
In the Blue Sphere AC block, each battery string is paired with its own power conversion channel. Every string is therefore an independent unit in the DC circuit. Charging and discharging are decoupled, short-circuit exposure stays contained, and a fault in one string does not propagate into the wider platform.
Independent strings mean a single branch fault affects one string, not the platform, keeping more of the asset dispatchable.
Per-string dispatch reduces the cell-imbalance stress introduced by centralised PCS designs, protecting capacity retention over time.
Modular replacement at the string level. Faulted units can be isolated and swapped without taking the platform offline.
Because every string is dispatched independently, the platform recovers usable capacity that a conventional centralised design silently loses to cell-to-cell mismatch. Specific available-energy commitments are confirmed per project.
